HUGE BOOST: Kansas State Bolsters Offensive Line with Two Important Signings from Power Programs — A Potential Game-Changer

Kansas State’s offensive line is getting a major boost with the addition of two experienced transfers who are expected to immediately compete for playing time. The Wildcats have brought in linemen from two prominent college football programs to help strengthen their front five heading into next season.

JB Nelson, a 6-foot-5, 326-pound senior from Penn State, is set to join the Wildcats after appearing in 31 games for the Nittany Lions, including all 16 last season. He played a key role in Penn State’s offensive success, helping the team earn a spot in the College Football Playoff. In 2023, Nelson earned an honorable mention on the All-Big Ten team for his performance.

Joining him is Terrence Enos, a 6-foot-5, 317-pound transfer from Pitt. After entering the transfer portal earlier this month, Enos committed to Kansas State over several other programs including Arkansas State, Buffalo, and Western Kentucky. Both players are part of K-State’s aggressive effort to reinforce its offensive line through the spring transfer window.

The Wildcats are undergoing several changes up front. Brian Lepak takes over as offensive line coach from Conor Riley, and the unit will welcome a total of four transfers—Nelson and Enos, along with earlier additions Amos Talalele and George Fitzpatrick, who are already on campus.

Returning players Taylor Poitier and Sam Hecht bring starting experience, while Andrew Leingang is expected to step into a bigger role. With added depth and talent, K-State’s offensive line will be reloaded and ready when summer practices begin.
