In a much-needed boost for the Texas Rangers, manager Bruce Bochy officially announced today that Corey Seager is set to make his full return to the lineup this week after recovering from a nagging hamstring injury that sidelined him for most of the past five games.
During a pregame media session Tuesday afternoon, Bochy delivered the news that fans and teammates alike have been waiting to hear:
“Corey is good to go,” Bochy said with confidence. “We’ve been monitoring him closely, and he’s passed every test over the last couple of days. He’ll be back in the lineup on Thursday, and we’re excited to have him return at full strength.”
The announcement follows days of speculation after Seager crushed two home runs in his only appearance during the current homestand, only to miss the following games due to lingering hamstring soreness. Medical staff confirmed that his recent rest has allowed for a complete recovery, with no signs of inflammation or discomfort during sprint drills and agility tests.

Seager himself expressed optimism about his condition in a brief post-practice interview:
“I feel great,” he said. “It’s tough sitting out, especially when the team’s grinding every night. But I’m ready to be back, and I’m ready to compete.”
Seager’s return comes at a critical time, with the Rangers locked in a tight AL West race. His bat and leadership will be key down the stretch, especially as the team also deals with the sudden injury to closer Luke Jackson, who took a line drive to the hand just a night earlier.
Bochy emphasized that the team would continue to closely manage Seager’s workload, but made clear he’s been cleared for full game action—including defense, base running, and plate appearances without restrictions.
“We’re not easing him in,” Bochy said. “He’s ready to play like the Corey we all know—hard, smart, and all-in.”
With his return locked in, the Rangers now turn their focus to building momentum, and Seager’s presence could be the spark they need to reignite their offense and make a push toward the postseason.
