Major-Blow: Purdue Men’s Basketball Player Arrested Due To ….

Purdue men’s basketball player Jace Rayl was arrested on preliminary OWI charges, according to WLFI.com. The 21-year-old Kokomo native was taken into custody by Kokomo police on Tuesday.

Rayl, who recently finished his sophomore season with the Boilermakers, faces misdemeanor charges including operating a vehicle while intoxicated and endangering a person, as well as operating with a blood alcohol content between .08 and .15.

As of now, Purdue has not issued a statement on the situation. Nathan Baird of The Indianapolis Star reports that Rayl is still part of the team, although he does not appear on the current online roster.

During his two seasons at Purdue, Rayl has appeared in five games and scored his first collegiate point in a January win against Nebraska.
