Georgia football is set to kick off its offseason recruiting with a major weekend, welcoming a group of top-tier prospects ahead of the usual June official visit rush.
The Bulldogs are hosting a star-studded lineup of recruits, laying the groundwork early as they look to make a strong impression.
One of the headline visitors is five-star interior offensive lineman Darius Gray, who confirmed he will be in Athens this weekend.
As reported by On3’s Steve Wiltfong, Gray ranks as the No. 29 overall player nationally according to the 247Sports composite, and he’s considered the No. 2 interior lineman and the No. 2 recruit in Virginia for the 2026 class.
Georgia’s recent dominance has been fueled by strong offensive line play, especially during their back-to-back national championship seasons.
However, their line regressed last year, making Gray’s potential addition a key step toward regaining that elite form.

Adding Gray would be even more impactful if paired with five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, who is expected to announce his commitment on May 13 — with Georgia currently seen as the favorite.
Landing both prospects would mark a massive recruiting win for the Bulldogs in the trenches.
Gray has other official visits lined up throughout June, so a final decision may take time. Still, a standout visit this weekend could put Georgia in a leading position to secure one of the nation’s top linemen.
