Trejo, known for his defensive versatility, initially joined the Rangers during the offseason and appeared in 19 games for Round Rock, posting a .211 batting average with 13 RBIs. In late April, he was traded to the Colorado Rockies for cash considerations, where he played 13 games at the major league level, hitting .175 before being designated for assignment on May 16. appeared in parts of five seasons, all with Colorado.
