The Chicago Blackhawks have traded defenseman Victor Soderstrom to the Boston Bruins in exchange for prospect Ryan Mast and a 2025 seventh-round draft pick.
Mast, a 22-year-old, 6-foot-5 right-shot defenseman, played 37 games with the AHL’s Providence Bruins this past season and recorded five assists.
A sixth-round pick in 2021, he has one year left on his contract.
Victor Soderstrom
Soderstrom, who didn’t play for the Blackhawks last season, spent the year in Sweden, where he earned the Salming Trophy as the nation’s top defenseman.
Ryan Mast
Chicago had acquired him earlier in March 2025 in a trade with the Utah Mammoth.
