Kansas State football is enjoying a strong recruiting surge this month. Head coach Chris Klieman and the Wildcats added to their momentum on Monday with a commitment from three-star defensive back Nick McClellan, who announced his decision on social media.

The 6-foot, 170-pound prospect from St. Louis chose K-State over offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Missouri, and several others. “Locked in,” he posted on X, along with a video of himself in a K-State uniform during a recent visit to Manhattan.
Ranked among Missouri’s top 10 prospects in the 2026 class, McClellan is expected to bolster the Wildcats’ secondary in the coming years.

McClellan joins a growing list of recent additions to K-State’s 2026 recruiting class, including defensive lineman Kingston Hall, safety Hannibal Navies, and cornerback Garrick Dixon, all of whom committed over Father’s Day weekend.
With McClellan’s pledge, the Wildcats now have 13 known commits in the 2026 class—nine of which have come in June alone. Coach Klieman and his staff have hosted numerous high-profile visits throughout the month, which appear to be paying off in a big way on the recruiting trail.
