The Missouri Tigers have secured a promising addition to their 2025 recruiting class with the commitment of 3-star running back Maxwell Warner.
Warner, a standout from Oklahoma, announced his decision earlier this week, choosing Missouri over several other Power Five programs that had been actively pursuing him.
His commitment gives Missouri another offensive weapon and a dependable ball carrier with upside.
Warner, ranked as a top-60 running back nationally in the 2025 cycle, cited his strong relationships with the Missouri coaching staff as a major factor in his decision.
“They were the most consistent in reaching out and showing they truly cared about me—not just as a player, but as a person,” Warner said in an interview. “Coach Drinkwitz and the whole staff made me feel like family from day one.”
Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 195 pounds, Warner is known for his vision, quick burst, and versatility out of the backfield.
He rushed for over 1,300 yards and scored 18 touchdowns in his junior season, helping lead his high school team to a deep playoff run.

He’s expected to bring immediate competition to Missouri’s backfield once he arrives on campus.
Missouri’s coaching staff has made it a priority to strengthen their offensive depth, and Warner’s commitment continues a trend of building a well-rounded 2025 class.
The Tigers have had momentum on the recruiting trail in recent months, and Warner’s pledge adds to a growing list of skill position players who could make an impact early.
With National Signing Day still months away, Missouri will continue to work on locking down its top targets.
But landing Warner at this stage is a significant win—not just for his on-field potential, but because it reflects the culture and relationships being built inside the program.
