Locked In: Mizzou Snatches 320-Pound SEC Wrecker from Tennessee — And This Future Tiger Could Be the Backbone of a Championship Line

The Missouri Tigers have landed a massive win on the recruiting trail, securing a commitment from Brandon Anderson, a 6-foot-5, 320-pound four-star offensive tackle out of North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Anderson, widely regarded as one of the top offensive linemen in the 2026 class, made it official after being heavily pursued by top-tier programs — including Tennessee and North Carolina.

This wasn’t just a routine commitment. It was a head-to-head SEC recruiting battle, and Mizzou came out on top. Anderson had once been committed to Tennessee, pledging to the Volunteers back in October.

But after decommitting in January and weighing his options, the big man out of Georgia chose the Tigers — turning down offers from Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, North Carolina, and others.

His reason? “It’s like a family,” Anderson said. And now, he’s all in on the Mizzou mission.

Anderson visited Missouri on June 6 and felt an instant connection with the coaching staff and campus environment. Less than two weeks later, after a final visit to Knoxville, he shut things down — and locked in with the Tigers.

A Future Foundation Piece

Anderson isn’t just another name in the recruiting class — he could be a cornerstone. As a junior, he helped lead North Cobb to an undefeated regular season and earned First-Team Region 5-6A honors in Georgia high school football — no small feat in one of the country’s most competitive football states.

Known for his violent hands, powerful lower body, and elite-level run blocking, Anderson has the tools to eventually anchor Missouri’s offensive line. While he’ll still need time to develop at the college level, his upside is sky-high. Scouts rave about his discipline, physicality, and ability to create lanes in the run game.

Per Rivals, Anderson is now Missouri’s fifth four-star recruit in the 2026 class — joining what’s shaping up to be one of the most promising offensive units in recent memory under head coach Eli Drinkwitz.

Why It Matters

Mizzou’s ability to steal a top-tier lineman out of Georgia and from Tennessee’s grasp sends a strong message: the Tigers are no longer just building — they’re battling with SEC giants and winning.

With Anderson in the fold, Missouri isn’t just dreaming about future success. They’re laying the foundation — 320 pounds at a time.
