Texas has officially brought up their top young arm, Jose Corniell, to the major league roster, giving him a shot during the club’s closing games.

The move comes amid a flurry of roster shuffles: veteran arms Chris Martin and Cole Winnwere placed on the injured list, and Josh Smith was placed on paternity leave.

  To round out the adjustments, Luis Curvelo was recalled, and infielder Donovan Solanohad his contract selected.

Corniell, ranked as the Rangers’ No. 3 prospect by MLB Pipeline, returns after recovering from Tommy John surgery.

In 2025, across three minor league levels, he posted a 1.89 ERA in 38 innings, with 41 strikeouts and just 9 walks.
