The Missouri Tigers have secured a major win in their recruiting efforts, landing Dutch Fork defensive tackle Jaden Wuerth as the newest member of their 2027 class. The 6-foot-3, 270-pound junior helped lead Dutch Fork to a state championship in 2025 and is widely regarded as one of the top defensive tackle prospects in the region.
“This is an incredible opportunity,” Wuerth said. “I’m thrilled to join Missouri and can’t wait to work with the coaching staff and my new teammates. It’s an honor to be part of this program.”
Dominant High School Career
Wuerth’s junior season was exceptional. He recorded 62 tackles, including 18 for loss, 14 sacks, 10 quarterback hurries, and three forced fumbles. In Dutch Fork’s state championship victory over Summerville, he notched 2.5 sacks, cementing his reputation as a high-impact defensive lineman.
Why Missouri?
According to Wuerth, the Tigers’ staff highlighted his motor, strength, and quickness — key traits for pressuring quarterbacks and disrupting offenses. Missouri’s track record in developing defensive linemen for the next level also factored into his decision.
“They made me feel wanted and showed me how I can grow as a player here,” Wuerth said. “I’m ready to contribute and help Missouri succeed.”
Impact on the Tigers
With Wuerth officially in the fold, Missouri strengthens its defensive line for the future. Pairing him with the Tigers’ current front-seven talent provides the team with a high-motor, disruptive presence capable of making an immediate impact.
“This is a huge win for Missouri football,” a source close to the program said. “Wuerth is a proven talent and brings championship experience from high school. He’s exactly the kind of player we want in our program.”
Missouri fans now have reason to be excited as Jaden Wuerth officially joins the Tigers, bringing his high school dominance and rising star potential to Columbia.
