Missouri took an early step toward reshaping its passing attack Tuesday, landing a speedy wide receiver from the transfer portal as coach Eli Drinkwitz continues to reload a roster hit hard by departures.
Caleb Goodie, a former Cincinnati receiver, announced his commitment after visiting campus, giving the Tigers their second portal addition of the day. The move follows Missouri’s earlier pickup of cornerback Jahlil Florence, signaling a focused effort to address key needs on both sides of the ball.
Goodie brings proven big-play ability. He averaged 16.7 yards per catch last season with the Bearcats, totaling 484 receiving yards and two touchdowns. A year earlier at Colorado State, he averaged more than 20 yards per reception, showcasing the speed Missouri is looking to replace after recent losses at the position.
With most of its 2025 pass catchers gone to graduation or the transfer portal, Missouri entered the offseason needing reinforcements. Goodie, a former three-star recruit with one year of eligibility remaining, is expected to be part of a broader rebuild of an offense that will look to balance a retooled passing game with star rusher Ahmad Hardy in 2026.
