COLUMBIA, Mo. – Missouri has taken an important step toward rebuilding its passing game by securing the commitment of Cincinnati wide receiver Caleb Goodie from the transfer portal. The 6-foot-1, 178-pound receiver announced his decision on social media following a visit to the Tigers’ campus, joining cornerback Jahlil Florence as the second transfer addition for Mizzou in a single day.
After losing nearly all of their top pass catchers from the 2025 roster due to graduations and transfers, Missouri was in urgent need of playmakers at wide receiver. Goodie, known for his blazing speed and ability to stretch the field, provides an immediate boost to the Tigers’ receiving corps.
Last season at Cincinnati, Goodie caught 29 passes for 484 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 16.7 yards per catch. During his two prior seasons at Colorado State, he averaged over 20 yards per reception, showcasing the explosiveness and quickness Mizzou sought to replace after losing Marquise Johnson. A former three-star recruit, Goodie now has one year of eligibility remaining, giving Missouri an experienced and dynamic option on the outside.
The addition of Goodie is part of head coach Eli Drinkwitz and his staff’s strategy to address key roster needs through the transfer portal. After losing over 20 players from last season, including several offensive starters, Goodie’s speed and playmaking ability will be critical in helping Missouri’s passing attack complement star rusher Ahmad Hardy in 2026.
With two impactful transfers already in place, Missouri is off to a strong start in the portal, adding talent at positions of immediate need and laying the foundation for a more dynamic and versatile offense in the upcoming season.
