Kansas State continues to strengthen its defensive front as new head coach Collin Klein prioritizes adding depth to the defensive line. After losing several key contributors to graduation and the transfer portal, the Wildcats secured a commitment from Elijah Hill, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound defensive end from Kennesaw State.
Hill made an immediate impact as a freshman at Kennesaw State, recording 22 tackles, including nine sacks, which earned him first-team all-league honors in Conference USA. He now looks to prove himself in a Power Five conference, joining a Wildcats roster that has prioritized defensive line reinforcements in early recruiting efforts.
Hill becomes the latest addition to a growing defensive line transfer class that already includes Jayden Bryant (Coastal Carolina), Kamari Burns (Cincinnati), Wendell Gregory (Oklahoma State), and De’Arieun Hicks (Gardner-Webb). Overall, K-State has announced commitments from 23 transfers this month across multiple positions.

The Wildcats have also seen significant roster turnover, with 32 players departing through the transfer portal, graduation, or other moves, highlighting the program’s emphasis on rebuilding and strengthening key positions, particularly along the defensive line.
Hill’s arrival is expected to provide immediate impact and depth for Kansas State’s defense heading into the 2026 season, continuing the Wildcats’ effort to reload their roster with experienced and talented transfers from across the country.
