The Missouri Tigers are entering the 2026 season with a strengthened roster, highlighted by the return of All-SEC offensive lineman who provides crucial stability on the offensive line. His presence will be vital as the Tigers integrate new talent at quarterback and aim to maintain their competitive edge in the SEC.
Cayden Green, a product of Lee’s Summit North High School, transferred to Missouri from Oklahoma following the 2023 season. While primarily a left tackle, there has been discussion about moving him to right tackle to protect the blind side of left-handed quarterback Austin Simmons. His versatility and experience make him a cornerstone for Missouri’s offensive unit and a player the Tigers cannot afford to lose.

In addition to Green’s return, Missouri added quarterback Nick Evers from UConn, a rising senior with over 1,000 career passing yards. Evers spent the past two seasons at UConn and previously attended Wisconsin and Oklahoma. He is expected to provide depth and experience behind Simmons, giving the Tigers flexibility and competition in their quarterback room.
Missouri also landed linebacker Cavan Tuley from Houston, known for his contributions on special teams. Nicknamed “Toolbox” for his versatility, Tuley played extensively in punt and kick coverage at Houston and is expected to immediately strengthen Missouri’s special-teams unit, an area the program aims to improve heading into 2026.
The Tigers also addressed their secondary with the addition of former Oregon cornerback Sione Laulea, joining transfers Jahlil Florence and Elijah Dotson. These additions give Missouri experienced defensive backs who can contribute right away and add depth to a unit that will play a key role in the team’s success. Combined with Green’s return and the transfer-portal reinforcements, Missouri looks poised to field a more balanced and veteran roster for the upcoming season.
