Jedd Fisch is wasting no time keeping Washington’s recruiting momentum alive. After assembling one of the nation’s top 2026 classes, the Huskies are already making noise in 2027, headlined by a major commitment from four-star wide receiver out of Goodyear, Arizona.
Zerek Sidney became the third pledge in Washington’s 2027 class, choosing the Huskies over powerhouse programs Oklahoma, Arizona State, and USC. The 6-foot, 180-pound receiver has been on the national radar since a breakout sophomore season in which he piled up nearly 600 yards and 11 touchdowns, helping lead his team to a 5A Arizona state title.
While injuries limited his production during the 2025 season, Sidney still flashed the traits that made him a blue-chip prospect. Even in limited action, his burst, toughness, and ability to make defenders miss stood out, reminding evaluators why he’s so highly regarded.

According to 247Sports scouts, Sidney thrives in traffic, aggressively attacks the football, and refuses to go down after the catch. That relentless style fits perfectly with Fisch’s track record of identifying and developing dynamic young receivers who can make an early impact.
Sidney joins in-state standouts Braylon Pope and Maurice Williams, giving Washington a strong early foundation for the 2027 cycle. With three commits already in the fold, the Huskies sit inside the national top 25 in early recruiting rankings—another clear sign that Fisch has Washington’s future pointed firmly upward.
