Washington Huskies football and head coach Jedd Fisch quickly benefited from their recent recruiting weekend as three-star linebacker Isaiah Leilua from Servite High School football announced his commitment to the program on Tuesday.

The 6-foot, 220-pound California native becomes the eighth player and fourth linebacker to join Washington’s 2027 recruiting class.
Ranked the No. 525 overall recruit in the nation and the No. 44 linebacker by 247Sports composite rankings, Leilua recently visited Seattle for the Huskies’ junior day and is expected to return for an official visit on June 5.
Leilua chose Washington over a long list of offers that included Michigan Wolverines football, Ohio State Buckeyes football, Notre Dame Fighting Irish football, Oregon Ducks football, Penn State Nittany Lions football, and USC Trojans football among many others.

During his varsity career at Servite, Leilua recorded 185 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, six sacks, five pass breakups and two forced fumbles in 29 games, though a shoulder injury limited him to just six appearances during his junior season in 2025.
Washington has emphasized linebacker recruiting early in the 2027 cycle, already securing commitments from St. John Bosco twins Ethan Coach and Justin Coach, as well as Idaho standout Titus Osterman under linebackers coach Brian Odom.
The influx of young linebackers comes as several current contributors—including Jacob Manu and Xe’ree Alexander—are expected to exhaust their eligibility after the 2026 season, while others like Deven Bryant and Jonathan Epperson Jr. transferred during the offseason.
Leilua’s pledge also strengthens Washington’s pipeline with Servite, a program that has produced multiple players recruited by Fisch dating back to his time leading the Arizona Wildcats football.
