Missouri already boasts one of the nation’s top 2026 recruiting classes, but the Tigers aren’t done yet. After St. Louis native Quinten Coleman received his release from his Wake Forest commitment, Missouri quickly entered the mix, and momentum appears to be building.
Coleman originally pledged to the Demon Deacons last fall but decommitted earlier this month. While the Tigers weren’t initially pursuing the four-star in-state prospect, they now seem to be leading the race to secure his commitment. On3 reports that Coleman has a visit to Missouri scheduled for next month.

Adding Coleman could cap off an elite 2026 class for the Tigers. Missouri and head coach Dennis Gates already have three top-100 recruits, led by five-star guard Jason Crowe Jr. Landing Coleman, the No. 34 player nationally per 247Sports, could elevate Missouri’s class from a top-10 ranking into the top-five territory.

After a tough end to the 2025 season, Missouri could use some exciting news for 2026. The Tigers will lose arguably their three best players to graduation, creating opportunities for new faces.

While the impact of the transfer portal remains uncertain, the incoming freshman class is expected to inject energy and talent into the Columbia program.
Crowe is projected to step in as the team’s starting point guard, but beyond that, next year’s lineup remains wide open. Coleman could play a key role, though he may need time to adjust. Regardless, adding the local standout would provide a significant boost to a team eager for a rebound season.
