Robinson Enters Transfer Portal
After three seasons in Columbia, including significant time as Missouri’s starting point guard, Anthony Robinson II has decided to enter the transfer portal.
He announced the move Monday via Instagram, with the news first reported by Joe Tipton of On3. Although the portal officially opens April 7, Robinson cannot formally enter until that date.
First Major Offseason Departure
Robinson becomes the first transfer portal exit for Missouri this offseason, joining a group of players—Mark Mitchell, Shawn Phillips Jr., Jayden Stone, Jacob Crews, and Jevon Porter—who are departing due to eligibility.

His decision marks the beginning of what could be a busy offseason for the Tigers as they reshape their roster.
Production and Regression
Robinson had a strong sophomore campaign, averaging 9.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game while earning SEC All-Defensive honors.
However, his junior season saw a slight decline, as he posted 8.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, along with noticeable drops in shooting efficiency from the field, beyond the arc, and at the free-throw line.
Role Change During Season
Midway through the season, head coach Dennis Gates removed Robinson from the starting lineup after a January matchup against Georgia, opting to go with T.O. Barrett as the team’s primary point guard. Over his Missouri career, Robinson appeared in 96 games, making 50 starts.
What’s Next for Missouri
With Robinson’s departure, Missouri is expected to target a point guard in the transfer portal, especially after inconsistent play at the position contributed to the team’s early NCAA Tournament exit.
The Tigers still have options in Barrett and Aaron Rowe, who redshirted his freshman season, but additional depth will likely be a priority.

Roster Flexibility Moving Forward
Robinson’s exit also creates more room on the roster. Under the NCAA’s 15-player limit, Missouri now has space to add up to four players this offseason, with that number potentially increasing depending on further departures.
Combined with a highly regarded 2026 recruiting class, the Tigers have an opportunity to significantly reshape their roster heading into next season.
