Fisch Confirms Serious Injury
Washington head coach Jedd Fisch didn’t mince words after the 70–10 blowout of UC Davis, saying Rashid Williams’ shoulder injury “didn’t look great.” Two days later, he confirmed the 6-foot-1, 190-pound sophomore wideout will miss several weeks with a collarbone injury and might require surgery. With a bye week ahead, no exact return date has been set.

After limited action as a freshman and 11 catches for 138 yards and a touchdown in 2024, Williams opened 2025 as one of Washington’s most dependable targets.
He caught four passes for 27 yards in the opener and gained 27 yards on his first play against UC Davis before an awkward fall forced him out.
Depth Chart Shifts at Z Receiver
Despite the loss, Fisch expressed confidence in the receiver room built by position coach Kevin Cummings.
True freshman Dezmen Roebuck—already the No. 2 Z receiver—looks poised to step in. Roebuck played 60 snaps against UC Davis, finishing with a team-best 77 yards and a 47-yard touchdown.
Fisch lauded his professionalism and preparation.
