Shoulder Fatigue Sidelines Reliever
Coulombe had missed the club’s previous 13 games while dealing with fatigue in his throwing shoulder. Before rejoining the big-league roster, he completed a brief rehabilitation assignment with Double-A Frisco, where he tossed two scoreless innings across a pair of outings.

Strong Season Split Between Two Teams
Across the 2025 season, Coulombe has put together a solid body of work with both the Minnesota Twins and the Rangers. He holds a 2–1 record, has notched two saves, and sports an impressive 2.52 ERA in 51 appearances, including one start.
Mixed Results Since Texas Trade
Since being acquired by Texas in a July 31 trade, the southpaw has appeared in 11 relief outings, posting a 1–1 record but struggling to a 7.56 ERA during that stretch. The Rangers are hopeful that his fresh arm and full recovery will help stabilize their bullpen heading into the final weeks of the season.
Roster Move to Create Space
To make room for Coulombe’s return, Texas optioned right-hander Luis Curvelo to Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday. The transaction gives the Rangers an experienced left-handed option as they continue their push in the American League playoff race.
