JUST-IN: Missouri Offensive Tackle Enters Transfer Portal with Two Years of Eligibility Remaining

The Missouri Tigers are set to lose a key member of their offensive line, as tackle Johnny Williams IV is preparing to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

CBS Sports reports that Williams, who appeared in 52 snaps across three games for Missouri in 2025, will officially enter the portal when it opens on Friday. The 6-foot-7, 327-pound lineman still has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Before joining Missouri, Williams spent two seasons at West Virginia, participating in 18 games and earning two starts. He transferred to Missouri in 2025 and served as a backup at both tackle positions behind Jayven Richardson.

Missouri’s offensive line was a key component of the team’s success in 2025, helping the Tigers rank eighth nationally in rushing offense with an average of 228.3 yards per game. The offense was powered by All-SEC running back Ahmad Hardy, who set a school record with 1,649 rushing yards and scored 16 touchdowns.

The Tigers finished the season 8-5, with all five losses coming against ranked opponents, including matchups against No. 8 Alabama, No. 10 Vanderbilt, No. 3 Texas A&M, and No. 8 Oklahoma. Missouri’s postseason ended with a 13-7 Gator Bowl loss to No. 19 Virginia.

Williams’ departure marks the 11th player from Missouri to indicate intentions to enter the transfer portal, which closes on Jan. 16, 2026.
