Construction is well underway at Williams-Brice Stadium as South Carolina embarks on a $350 million, three-phase renovation. Following the conclusion of the 2025 season, crews moved in to begin demolition and early construction, marking the start of the multi-year “Williams-Brice Reimagined” project.
Phase One: Underway
Demolition is mostly complete, including the Floyd Building and the southwest ramp. Crews have started foundational work, including driving piles for new structures. Early efforts are focused on widening concourses, adding more concession stands and restrooms, and laying the groundwork for a new student club space.
Phase One is expected to be mostly finished before the 2026 football season, allowing the stadium to operate at full capacity for home games. Construction during this stage is progressing on schedule.
Phase Two: Post-2026 Season
Set to begin after the 2026 season and continue through August 2027, Phase Two will focus on premium spaces, including up to 43 suites—nearly triple the current number, a westside reconfiguration, escalators, field-level club areas, and enhanced student amenities.
This phase will be the most disruptive for fans, requiring seat reselection and west-side construction. However, it promises a significant boost to the fan experience with wider concourses, improved flow, new club spaces, bars, and restrooms.
Phase Three: Post-2027 Season to 2028
The final phase will complete the external upgrades, including a southwest scoreboard, southeast tower rebuild, and symmetry with west-side improvements. The renovation is planned to wrap up by 2028, with key components operational early in each season to minimize game-day disruptions.
