Washington added a notable piece from a familiar rival Monday, as former Oregon running back Jayden Limar announced he is transferring to the Huskies.
Limar, a Lake Stevens, Washington native and former four-star recruit, spent the past three seasons with the Ducks, contributing as part of the backfield rotation and on special teams. He set career highs during the 2025 season, rushing for 262 yards and three touchdowns on 46 carries while averaging 5.7 yards per attempt. He also caught 11 passes for 75 yards.
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound back made key postseason impacts, returning a blocked punt for a touchdown in Oregon’s first-round College Football Playoff win over James Madison. He also recorded Oregon’s longest offensive play from scrimmage—a 27-yard reception—in the Ducks’ quarterfinal victory over Texas Tech.
Over three seasons at Oregon, Limar totaled 442 rushing yards and four touchdowns, added 20 receptions for 207 yards and a receiving score, and returned two kickoffs for 53 yards.
Limar joins a Washington backfield undergoing transition. Starter Jonah Coleman is graduating, and projected starter Adam Mohammed entered the transfer portal and committed to Cal.
Before arriving at Oregon, Limar starred at Lake Stevens High School, helping lead the program to its first state championship in 2022. As a senior, he rushed for 2,003 yards and 36 touchdowns and was named The Everett Herald’s All-Area Player of the Year. He finished his high school career with 5,028 yards from scrimmage and 77 total touchdowns.
According to 247Sports, Limar becomes Washington’s ninth transfer portal commitment this cycle.
