BREAKING: Long Island Ducks Sold to Texas-Based REV Entertainment

The Long Island Ducks have a new owner. Founding owner Frank Boulton has sold the team to REV Entertainment, the sports and entertainment company affiliated with the MLB’s Texas Rangers.

Boulton assured fans that the Ducks will remain in Long Island and continue competing in the Atlantic League, saying, “We are not going anywhere.” He noted that while he’s received offers for years, at 75 years old, he wanted to ensure the Ducks’ legacy continues. Boulton will stay on as an advisor to REV Entertainment, which shares his vision for the team’s next 25 years on Long Island.

“We’re proud to welcome the Long Island Ducks into the REV family,” said Sean Decker, president of REV Entertainment. “Frank Boulton has built something truly special. Our goal is to honor that legacy, expand on it, and continue offering an affordable, family-friendly experience while setting the Ducks up for long-term success.”

REV Entertainment also owns teams in other professional baseball leagues, including the Cleburne Railroaders and Kane County Cougars (American Association) and the Schaumburg Boomers (Frontier League).

Mike Pfaff will remain Ducks president, and Boulton confirmed there will be no changes to the front office. “I am grateful to the fans, friends, sponsors, and the entire Long Island community for supporting 25 incredible seasons,” Boulton said, “and I am confident the next 25 will be even better!”
