Another Kansas State Wildcats football alumnus is making headlines, as veteran offensive lineman Dalton Risner has signed a new one-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals worth up to $5 million. The agreement keeps Risner in the NFL spotlight as he continues his professional career.

Risner’s college career at Kansas State Wildcats football helped prepare him for the next level, where he established himself as a reliable and durable offensive lineman. During his time with the Wildcats from 2015 to 2018, after redshirting in 2014, he became a key leader on the offensive line.

The standout guard served as team captain for three consecutive seasons and started 50 of 51 games in his collegiate career. His achievements included multiple All-Big 12 honors and a First Team All-American selection in 2018, cementing his status as one of the program’s top offensive line prospects.

Risner was selected 41st overall by the Denver Broncos in the 2019 draft and later joined the Minnesota Vikings before signing with the Cincinnati Bengals ahead of the 2025 season. Last year, he appeared in 14 games and started nine at right guard, finishing the season strong with consistent pass protection performance.

For Kansas State supporters, Risner’s continued success in the NFL represents another example of the program’s ability to develop professional-level talent, as he works to extend his long-standing career in the league.
