Cry Kansas freshman forward Bryson Tiller could be on track for a surprising move within one of college basketball’s fiercest rivalries, as he explores a potential transfer to Missouri.
Multiple reports indicate Tiller is scheduled to visit Missouri as he evaluates his next destination after completing his freshman season at Kansas.
According to Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman, the 6-foot-10 forward is also drawing interest from programs such as Miami, Arizona, and Michigan after entering the transfer portal earlier this week.
A move directly from Lawrence to Columbia would be an uncommon twist in the long-running rivalry between the Kansas Jayhawks and the Missouri Tigers, though it wouldn’t be without precedent in college basketball’s transfer landscape.
Notably, former Missouri center Parker Braun eventually finished his college career at Kansas after stops elsewhere.
During his freshman year, Tiller posted 7.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 44.9% from the field and 26.9% from three-point range.
The Atlanta native started nearly every game for the Kansas Jayhawks after the opening stretch of the season, showing flashes of potential as a versatile frontcourt piece.
However, his role fluctuated late in the year, including a second-half benching during Kansas’ lopsided Big 12 Tournament loss to the Houston Cougars.
Head coach Bill Self emphasized effort and physicality when discussing his message to the young forward ahead of that decision.
Earlier in the season, Tiller also delivered a strong performance against Missouri, recording 13 points, five rebounds, and five blocks in Kansas’ 80–60 win over the Tigers at the T-Mobile Center.
Now, Missouri is actively reshaping its frontcourt after losing key contributors Mark Mitchell and Shawn Phillips to graduation, making Tiller an intriguing potential addition if the Tigers can land him out of the portal.
