Missouri Tigers added a new piece to its backcourt for the 2026–27 season after landing BYU transfer Kennard Davis Jr., a 6-foot-6 combo guard, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.
Davis played a key rotation role for BYU Cougars last season, starting 32 games on a team that reached the NCAA Tournament and averaging 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists while sharing the floor with high-usage teammates.
Before his time at BYU, he spent two seasons at Southern Illinois, where he had a breakout year in 2024–25, scoring over 16 points per game and shooting 37% from three-point range.
His commitment marks the fourth transfer addition for Missouri this offseason, as head coach Dennis Gates continues to reshape the roster while also bringing in a strong high school class led by five-star guard Jason Crowe Jr.
Now entering a crucial fifth season in Columbia, Gates has guided Missouri to three NCAA Tournament appearances in four years, but is still searching for a breakthrough run past the Sweet 16.
