BREAKING:”Texas Rangers Drop Bombshell, Confirm the Shocking Replacement for Chris Martin!”

The Texas Rangers made several pitching-related roster moves on Saturday, placing right-hander Jakob Junis on the 15-day injured list with a right hip impingement while reinstating veteran reliever Chris Martin from the IL after another absence caused by a shoulder issue.

The club also received disappointing news regarding left-handed reliever Jalen Beeks, who will undergo season-ending surgery for a flexor tendon strain. Beeks had been nearing a return from a back injury before developing elbow discomfort during his rehabilitation process.

Junis has been one of Texas’ most dependable bullpen arms this season, posting a 2.80 ERA with five saves across 31 appearances. Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young indicated optimism that the right-hander’s absence could be limited to the minimum stay on the injured list.

Martin returns after missing significant time due to recurring shoulder problems. The 40-year-old has appeared in 12 games this season, while Beeks contributed a 3.81 ERA over 29 outings before his injury setback.Chris Martin looking to bolster Rangers 'pen

Meanwhile, starting pitcher Jack Leiter provided an encouraging update on his recovery from arthroscopic ankle surgery performed on June 23. The procedure removed an extra bone known as the os trigonum, a condition that can create pain and mobility issues for athletes who rely heavily on ankle movement.

Leiter said he hopes to return before the end of the season and believes his recovery could progress quickly since the surgery did not involve repairing damaged tissue. The former first-round pick acknowledged the ankle issue affected his mechanics and contributed to his struggles on the mound before the operation.
