The Buffalo Bills have officially signed wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson to a one-year contract, the team announced on Tuesday. Wilkerson, a 6-foot-1, 214-pound athlete, brings valuable depth and experience to the Bills’ receiving corps.
The 28-year-old spent the 2024 NFL season with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he appeared in three games and contributed modestly with three catches totaling 18 yards and one touchdown.
Wilkerson’s journey to the NFL began as an undrafted free agent in 2020, when he signed with the Tennessee Titans. He developed his skills at Southeast Missouri State University, where he played from 2015 through 2019.
Over his collegiate career, Wilkerson showcased his ability to be a reliable target, which eventually earned him an opportunity in the pros despite not being drafted.
With the Bills, he is expected to wear jersey number 82 as he competes for playing time and tries to make an impact on offense.
In a roster adjustment corresponding with Wilkerson’s signing, the Bills have released wide receiver Hal Presley III.
This move clears space on the roster to accommodate Wilkerson, who the team likely sees as a promising addition to strengthen their receiving options. The Bills hope that Wilkerson can build on his limited NFL experience and contribute to their offensive schemes during the upcoming season.
