In seventh grade, Jordan Speiser received her first college recruiting letter—from legendary UConn coach Geno Auriemma. On her early visit to Iowa, Caitlin Clark personally gave her a tour.
But as her career took off and she became one of the top 10 recruits in the 2025 class, Speiser felt a deeper connection with Kansas State. During a drive in June 2024 with assistant coach Staci Gregorio Foss, Speiser confessed, “I just know.”
She told her parents, who advised her to wait before making it official. But after reflecting, she canceled her remaining visits to Iowa, Oklahoma, TCU, and North Carolina—despite the difficulty of turning away schools she’d built close ties with.
Her final call was to K-State: “I’m a Wildcat.” She then surprised the coaching staff with an unannounced visit in September, declaring her commitment in person.
Speiser, a 6-foot-1 guard from Missouri, joins a top-10 recruiting class at K-State as the program rebuilds after key departures.
Though she’s only met one of her fellow freshmen in person, the group is already tightly bonded through group chats.
Her accolades speak for themselves: Gatorade Missouri Player of the Year, McDonald’s All-American, and top national rankings. On the court, she’s a sharpshooter and versatile playmaker.
Off the court, Speiser excelled academically and served her community, tutoring math and leading church initiatives.
She’s focused on constant improvement—training daily, lifting, and even doing hot yoga to maintain her edge. Despite the whirlwind of elite tournaments and nonstop travel, she remains grounded and grateful.
Speiser’s path began with frustration—she wasn’t the best among her friends in fifth grade. But that early challenge fueled relentless work, and soon she was dominating high school games and rising in national rankings.
Through it all, her relationship with the K-State staff made the biggest impact. Now, with her countdown to move-in nearly over, Speiser is determined to help lift the Wildcats to even greater success.
