Even though the college football transfer portal has been closed for a few months, hundreds of players are still searching for new teams.
Among them is Central Missouri defensive tackle Jaylen Harris, a standout at the Division II level who is expected to visit Colorado soon. According to 247Sports’ Chris Hummer, the 6-foot-3, 315-pound lineman has emerged as a target for Deion Sanders’ program.
Harris has attracted several FBS offers and remains one of the most productive defensive linemen still available in the portal. Last season, he recorded 30 tackles, along with two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits.

Colorado continues to have a significant need on the interior defensive line after prioritizing lighter edge rushers in the portal. Meanwhile, Ezra Christensen—another defensive tackle commit—is still awaiting a decision on his eligibility for an additional season.
If Christensen is unable to return, Colorado could face a major gap at nose tackle, making Harris a valuable option. Even so, the Buffs would ideally like to bring in both players.
While an official visit date for Harris hasn’t been announced, it is expected to take place in the coming weeks, allowing him time to get settled before summer conditioning begins.
