The Philadelphia Phillies have quietly announced an injury involving 25-year-old outfielder Felix Reyes, who is currently with Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
The IronPigs placed Reyes on the seven-day injured list on Aug. 15, according to MLB’s transaction record.
The move came after Reyes was hit by a pitch in the right hand during Friday night’s game, giving the organization another injury concern involving a young player who has remained on the Phillies’ radar throughout the 2026 season.

Reyes has been one of the more productive offensive players in Lehigh Valley this season, making the timing of the injury particularly notable.
Before being sidelined, he was hitting .287 with 21 home runs, 70 RBIs and an .829 OPS for the IronPigs, establishing himself as a potential depth option for Philadelphia.
The 6-foot-3 outfielder has shown considerable power throughout his minor league career, and his production at Triple-A has kept him in the conversation whenever the Phillies have needed additional offensive help.

The injury is also significant because Reyes has already received his first opportunity at the major league level this season.
Philadelphia promoted him on April 18, and he immediately made headlines by homering in his first career MLB at-bat against Atlanta Braves ace Chris Sale.
Reyes ultimately appeared in 12 games for the Phillies, recording six hits, one home run and two RBIs while batting .158 before returning to Triple-A.

For now, the Phillies will have to wait for Reyes to recover before determining whether he can become a potential option for the major league roster later in the season.
There has been no indication that the seven-day injured-list placement is expected to be long term, but losing one of Lehigh Valley’s productive hitters is still an unwanted setback as Philadelphia continues its postseason push.

Reyes’ combination of power and previous MLB experience could make him valuable down the stretch, making his recovery something the organization will likely monitor closely.
