The Chicago Blackhawks have signed goaltender Stanislav Berezhnoy to a two-year entry-level deal worth $975,000 annually, keeping him under contract through the 2026–27 season.
Berezhnoy, 22, split last season between Omskie Krylia and SKA-Neva St. Petersburg in Russia’s VHL, appearing in 27 games with a 12-10-2 record, a .928 save percentage, a 2.50 goals-against average, and one shutout.
He also played eight playoff games (4-3-0, .921 save percentage, 2.66 GAA) and appeared in one KHL contest with SKA St. Petersburg.
The 6-foot-4, 218-pound netminder has logged 54 career VHL games since 2022, posting a 17-18-5 record with a .918 save percentage, a 2.77 GAA, and three shutouts.

Prior to that, he excelled in the MHL with Omskie Yastrby, where he compiled a 48-24-4 record, a .920 save percentage, and 10 shutouts across 92 games, along with strong playoff numbers (15-8-1, .926 save percentage).
A native of Novokuznetsk, Russia, Berezhnoy enters the Blackhawks organization as an undrafted free agent.
