BOOST: South Carolina QB’s Top Weapon Back for Senior Year to Take Charge and Complete the Job

South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers will have his top offensive weapon back for the 2026 season, as Nyck Harbor announced he is returning for his senior year. Harbor made the announcement just three days after Sellers confirmed he would be back, sending a clear message that he’s ready to “run it back” and continue building on the momentum they started together.

In 2025, Sellers and Harbor formed one of the Gamecocks’ most dynamic connections, combining for 30 receptions, 618 yards, and six touchdowns — all career highs for Harbor. With both players returning, the expectation is that South Carolina’s passing attack will see significant improvement next season. Sellers will be relied upon to continue developing his chemistry with Harbor and elevate the team’s overall offensive production.

The Gamecocks are also retaining a key defensive presence. Dylan Stewart, one of South Carolina’s top defenders, chose not to enter the NFL Draft or the transfer portal and signed a new NIL deal to solidify his return. Stewart is projected to be one of the highest-paid defenders in college football, providing leadership and experience on the defensive side of the ball.

All three players returning adds both talent and experience to a team that finished 4-8 in 2025. Head coach Shane Beamer will also return, bringing stability to a program that hasn’t posted a double-digit win season since 2013. With Harbor’s return, the pressure and excitement surrounding the Gamecocks’ 2026 season are higher than ever.

As Sellers and Harbor aim to take charge and complete what they started, South Carolina fans will be watching closely to see if this experienced core can turn the program’s potential into a breakout season.
