South Carolina women’s basketball officially added French forward Alicia Tournebize to its roster, as the 18-year-old arrived on campus and enrolled for USC’s Spring 2026 semester.
Tournebize, who stands 6-foot-7 and previously played professionally with Tango Bourges Basket in France’s EuroLeague Women, joins the Gamecocks following the team’s holiday break. She missed the start of the season as she worked through required documentation to compete in the NCAA.
Head coach Dawn Staley welcomed Tournebize’s arrival, saying, “We’re thrilled to have her here. She’s athletic, talented, and ready to contribute right away. She’ll provide depth off the bench and give our starters some relief.”
Tournebize is expected to join her teammates immediately in practice and will be ready for South Carolina’s SEC opener on Thursday, Jan. 1 against Alabama. The addition strengthens the roster just as the Gamecocks begin conference play, with subsequent games against Florida, Arkansas, and Georgia scheduled in early January.
With Tournebize now on campus, South Carolina fans can look forward to seeing the 6-foot-7 forward in action as she begins her journey with the Gamecocks.
