Shock Commitment: Three-Star Linebacker Stuns Recruiting Scene by Pledging Early to Washington Huskies football for 2027 Class Building

Happy Thursday, Husky fans. I recently caught up with three-star linebacker Titus Osterman to talk about his recruitment and pledge to the Washington Huskies football. The Kimberly High School (Idaho) standout is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 70 linebacker in the 2027 class and is now one of six commits in Washington’s growing class.

Here’s what Osterman shared:

On when Washington first began recruiting him:
Osterman said the first recruiting text he ever received came from coach Odom, who quickly followed up by extending an offer.

On his visits to UW and impressions of the staff:
After multiple trips to Montlake, including a recent unofficial visit, Osterman described the program as everything a player could want, praising the staff for being transparent, genuine, and straightforward throughout the process.

On how Washington plans to use him defensively:
The staff views him as a versatile piece in the base defense, primarily as a stack linebacker, with the ability to slide inside on third downs and rush the passer.

On how he describes himself as a player:
Osterman compared his playing style to a freight train, saying he prides himself on running through anyone in his path — a physical presence Husky fans will likely appreciate when watching his highlights.
