In a major win for head coach Dennis Gates, standout Arkansas State guard Christian Harmon
has officially committed to the
Missouri Tigers as of mid-April 2026.
Harmon, who entered the transfer portal in late March after a stellar junior season, chose Mizzou over a competitive list of suitors including Memphis, Louisville, and Georgia Tech.
His addition provides the Tigers with a proven, battle-tested wing who can immediately impact the SEC with his elite perimeter shooting and size.
Harmon’s decision to join the Tigers comes on the heels of a 2025–26 campaign where he led the Red Wolves in scoring, averaging 12.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
He was a critical piece of Arkansas State’s offense, knocking down
84 three-pointers and earning
Third Team All-Sun Belt honors.
By landing Harmon, Missouri successfully addressed a glaring need for a veteran “3-and-D” presence who can stretch the floor and defend multiple positions.
The 6-foot-6 guard’s journey to Columbia is marked by consistent elite-level production, beginning with his time at
Gulf Coast State College, where he was named Panhandle Conference Player of the Year.
During his JUCO tenure, he shot a blistering 47.4% from three-point range, a skill set that translated seamlessly to the Division I level.
National analysts currently rank him as a
top-tier transfer gem, highlighting his work ethic and ability to elevate his performance in high-pressure conference matchups.
Harmon is the latest piece of a revamped Tigers roster that has seen significant activity this spring. He joins other high-profile additions like
Providence wing Jamier Jones and fellow transfer
Jaylen Carey, as Dennis Gates looks to bounce back with a roster capable of deep postseason runs.
Reporters from Rock M Nation noted that Harmon’s experience and shooting efficiency were key factors that made him a priority target for the Mizzou coaching staff from the moment he entered the portal.
With Harmon officially out of the portal and on campus, the Tigers now turn their focus to finalizing their 2026–27 roster ahead of the summer session.
The Rochester, NY native is expected to compete for a starting role immediately, bringing a combination of championship experience and perimeter grit to Mizzou Arena.
Fans can expect Harmon to be a focal point of the Tigers’ transition game as they aim to compete at the top of a formidable SEC.
