Kansas State Wildcats have landed their first quarterback commitment under head coach Collin Klein, adding a promising future piece to a quarterback room currently led by projected starter Avery Johnson.
Class of 2027 quarterback Cam Kruse, a talented signal-caller from Tennessee, announced his commitment on Tuesday, giving Kansas State another athletic option for the future at the position.
Although he remains unranked by major recruiting services, Kruse impressed during his junior season at Page High School, throwing for 2,264 yards and 35 touchdowns while also adding six rushing scores, showing both passing ability and mobility.

He revealed his decision on X with a simple message, expressing excitement for the next chapter of his career with the Wildcats.
Kruse is expected to arrive in Manhattan after Avery Johnson’s college career concludes, and he joins a 2027 recruiting class that also includes several notable prospects at other positions, giving Kansas State a well-rounded future foundation.
