After opting for free agency in April, veteran outfielder Tommy Pham has signed a new deal with the Baltimore Orioles.
On Saturday, Pham agreed to a minor-league contract with Baltimore, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.
He will begin with the Triple-A Norfolk Tides after reporting to the team’s spring training facility in Sarasota, Florida, before heading to Norfolk, Virginia.
The contract also includes an opt-out clause that would allow him to return to free agency in early June if the Orioles do not promote him to the major league roster.

Pham has been in Major League Baseball since 2014, starting his career with the St. Louis Cardinals before going on to play for numerous teams, including the Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
He has made five postseason appearances with the Cardinals, Padres, Diamondbacks, and Royals, including a World Series run with Arizona in 2023. His most recent full season came with the Mets in 2025, when he hit .245 with 10 home runs and 52 RBIs.

Over his career, Pham has posted a .256 batting average with 1,081 hits, 149 home runs, and 522 RBIs.
Known for his disciplined approach at the plate, aggressive style of play, and veteran presence, Pham also provides right-handed power and defensive versatility across all three outfield positions.
The Orioles currently sit at 20–25 and are third in the American League East.
