Missouri Transfer Addition: Missouri LANDS Another Major home-state transfer portal guard in blockbuster roster move as Tigers continue aggressive rebuild for another NCAA Tournament run

Combo guard Kennard Davis Jr. is heading back to his home state, officially joining the Missouri men’s basketball program on Friday.

The 6-foot-6 guard arrives at Mizzou after spending the 2025–26 season at BYU, where he helped the Cougars win 23 games and earn a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament. He started 32 games, averaging 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per contest.

Missouri head coach Dennis Gates praised Davis as a versatile and experienced addition, highlighting his ability to play both guard spots, his perimeter shooting, and his strong on-ball defense.
