Three-star linebacker Caleb Green has officially flipped his commitment from Missouri to Nebraska, giving the Cornhuskers another significant addition to their rapidly growing 2027 recruiting class.
Green, a standout defender from Lee’s Summit North High School in Missouri, had been committed to the Tigers since April before changing his pledge following a recent visit to Lincoln.
The recruiting victory comes shortly after Nebraska extended Green an offer during a summer camp appearance where he impressed the coaching staff.
The 6-foot, 210-pound linebacker quickly emerged as a priority target for head coach Matt Rhule and his staff, who hosted him for an official visit before securing the commitment flip.
Green is coming off a highly productive junior season in which he recorded 145 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks, establishing himself as one of Missouri’s top defensive prospects.

His strong play also earned him linebacker MVP honors at an Under Armour camp event earlier this year, helping boost his recruiting profile.
The decision is a notable setback for Missouri, which loses one of the earliest commitments in its 2027 recruiting class.

Green originally chose the Tigers in April and is the younger brother of Missouri offensive tackle Cayden Green, making his departure particularly disappointing for the program.
For Nebraska, Green’s commitment continues a strong stretch on the recruiting trail as the Cornhuskers add talent on both sides of the ball. His physical style of play and production at the high school level make him an intriguing long-term prospect as Nebraska continues building one of the Big Ten’s more promising 2027 classes.
