**Shocking Move: New York Giants Deal Quarterback to Rival Team in Bold Roster Shake-Up**

At the start of the offseason, the New York Giants’ quarterback situation was unclear, with no definitive starter for 2025 and the position seemingly wide open.

But that changed quickly as GM Joe Schoen signed veteran Russell Wilson to a one-year deal, brought in Jameis Winston on a two-year contract, and retained fan-favorite Tommy DeVito.

Then came the 2025 NFL Draft, where the Giants moved up to select Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart with the 25th overall pick.

Now with four quarterbacks — a Super Bowl champion, a former No. 1 overall pick, a first-round rookie, and a rising local star — the Giants’ QB room is arguably overcrowded.

Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton believes the team may benefit from trading Winston. With Wilson expected to start and Dart being groomed for the future, Winston is caught between the present and future plans, limiting his role to that of a backup with little long-term potential in New York.

Moton argues that Winston, who posted solid stats last season in Cleveland, could bring back a valuable Day 3 draft pick if traded. This would not only create roster clarity for the Giants but also give Winston a chance to find a team where he has a meaningful role.
