Missouri women’s basketball has added transfer guard McKenzie Mathurin from Michigan, head coach Kellie Harper confirmed Monday.

A native of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Mathurin played a role in helping Michigan reach just its second Elite Eight in program history this past season.

“Kenzie has stood out from a young age, and her consistent growth has molded her into the player she is today,” Harper said. “She’s ready to succeed in our system and compete in the SEC, and we’re excited to have her.”

Mathurin saw action in 25 games as a reserve, posting double-digit scoring in three outings while averaging 3.5 points and 0.7 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per game.

Her best performance came on Jan. 8 against Penn State, where she scored a career-high 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting, adding an assist and a steal in the win.

Coming out of Broken Arrow High School, Mathurin was a four-star recruit and ranked No. 39 nationally in the 2025 class. She averaged 22.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.0 steals per game as a senior.

Ranked the No. 8 shooting guard in her class, she earned multiple honors, including a McDonald’s All-American nomination, a spot on the Naismith Watch List, and VYPE Magazine’s Miss Oklahoma Basketball award.

She also received recognition from The Oklahoman’s Super 5 team, was named a 2025 Ballislife All-American, and earned Tulsa World All-State honors.

Mathurin becomes the Tigers’ first transfer portal addition of the 2026 offseason.
