The New York Mets, who currently own the worst record in Major League Baseball, continue to spiral through a difficult season as injuries pile up alongside poor performance.
Even with Juan Soto back in the lineup, the team has suffered another setback with Francisco Lindor already on the injured list for an extended period, and now Luis Robert Jr. is expected to join him due to a lingering back issue.

According to SNY’s Chelsea Janes, Robert is likely to be placed on the IL after dealing with ongoing discomfort and undergoing further evaluation, marking another major loss for a Mets roster already stretched thin.

Robert, who was acquired from the Chicago White Sox during the offseason, has struggled at the plate this year, hitting .224 with two home runs and eight RBIs in 24 games before the injury setback.
With multiple key players now sidelined and the team sitting at 10-20, the Mets’ season continues to unravel as injuries and inconsistency deepen their early-year struggles.
