A key recruiting target is beginning to take shape for the Kentucky Wildcats, as four-star Ohio offensive lineman Dominic Black has officially scheduled a visit to Lexington.
The New Madison (Ohio) Tri-Village standout is one of the top trench prospects in the 2027 class, and his upcoming trip signals continued momentum for Kentucky on the recruiting trail.
Black, listed at 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds, has locked in an official visit with Kentucky for June 5. The highly regarded lineman is also planning stops at Indiana (May 15) and Virginia Tech (June 12), with multiple Power Five programs battling for his commitment as his recruitment heats up.
Kentucky has remained firmly in the mix, thanks in large part to consistent contact from the coaching staff.
Offensive line coach Cutter Leftwich has led the charge since extending an offer earlier this year, and Black has already made multiple visits to campus, including a spring practice appearance that helped strengthen the relationship.

On the field, Black brings a versatile and athletic profile that has evaluators intrigued. He’s not only a dominant offensive tackle prospect but also a multi-sport athlete, competing in basketball and track.
Scouts highlight his movement ability, physicality, and upside, projecting him as a potential high-major contributor with long-term pro potential.

Recruiting analysts currently rank Black among the top offensive tackles nationally and inside the top 150 overall prospects in the country.
With Kentucky’s 2027 class already gaining national traction, adding a blue-chip offensive lineman like Black would address a major positional need and further solidify the Wildcats’ foundation in the trenches.
As official visit season approaches, Kentucky appears to be in a strong position—but the race is far from over.
Programs like Indiana and Virginia Tech remain serious contenders, setting up a pivotal stretch in Black’s recruitment that could ultimately determine where one of Ohio’s top prospects lands.
