Kentucky Wildcats head coach Mark Pope and his staff remain highly active on the recruiting trail, recently extending a scholarship offer on Friday to 2027 five-star small forward Demarcus Henry after an impressive performance at Nike EYBL Session II in Memphis.
The 6-foot-7, 190-pound wing from Arizona is regarded as one of the top prospects in the country, ranking No. 14 nationally, No. 5 at his position, and No. 3 in his state according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
His combination of size, athleticism, and production has made him one of the most sought-after players in his class.
Pope and members of the Kentucky staff were on hand Friday to evaluate Henry in person, where he delivered a standout 25-point outing that further boosted his rising national profile.
Shortly after that performance, the Wildcats officially entered his recruitment with a scholarship offer.
Henry also shared his excitement on social media, expressing gratitude after a conversation with Pope and acknowledging the significance of receiving an offer from Kentucky, a program widely considered one of the premier destinations in college basketball.
Already strong on the EYBL circuit, Henry averaged 16.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals during Session I, showcasing his all-around impact.
Kentucky becomes his first major blue-blood offer as his recruitment continues to gain traction, with other programs like Oregon, Ohio State, LSU, and USC also involved.
