Kentucky is under significant pressure to bounce back after a disappointing 2025–26 season in which the Wildcats, despite a high-priced roster and an NCAA Tournament berth as a No. 7 seed, managed just one win and finished 22–14, a result widely viewed as underwhelming in today’s NIL-driven era.
Mark Pope is already reshaping the roster for 2026–27 after major departures, and the Wildcats are actively pursuing additional reinforcements late in the offseason, including a 19-year-old former SEC player now competing overseas.

According to KSR’s Jacob Polacheck, Kentucky has entered the mix for Savo Drezgić, a former Georgia guard currently with Mega Superbet, with the player confirming that his agent is in contact with the program.

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 15.4 points and four assists in the ABA League during the 2025–26 season after previously spending a brief freshman year at Georgia, where he saw limited action but showed flashes of potential.
Now back on the international pro circuit, Drezgić is weighing a return to college basketball, and while Kentucky is a known contender, his final decision is still pending.
