BREAKING: All-SEC lineman Cayden Green reveals decision on Mizzou future

Missouri will have a key piece of its offensive line back for the 2026 season, as standout lineman Cayden Green announced he is returning to Columbia.

The 6-foot-5 junior had the option to declare for the 2026 NFL Draft or explore the transfer portal, both of which could have drawn significant interest. Instead, Green will anchor Missouri’s left tackle spot for one more season.

Green joins several other returning stars, including linebacker Nicholas Rodriguez, running back Ahmad Hardy, and Hardy’s backup, Jamal Roberts, solidifying continuity along the Tigers’ key units.

After transferring from Oklahoma, Green shifted to left tackle during fall camp and started 11 games this past season. He missed contests against South Carolina and UMass due to injury, but when healthy, he was a consistent force on the line.

According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), Green was Missouri’s second-highest-graded lineman (81.8) and its top pass-blocker (89.1), allowing just two sacks on 347 snaps and finishing as the SEC’s third-best pass-blocking lineman.

With offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey needing to replace center Connor Tollison and right tackle Keagen Trost, Green’s decision to return provides a critical foundation for Missouri’s offensive line heading into 2026.
