South Carolina has scored a major transfer portal victory, landing the No. 1 offensive tackle in the transfer rankings, from NC State. Peak brings proven Power Five experience, versatility at both tackle spots, and immediate starter-level impact to the Gamecocks’ offensive line.
Jacarrius Peak A seasoned ACC player, Peak started 32 consecutive games over the past three seasons and allowed just 13 pressures and three sacks last year while protecting the blindside. Originally a three-star recruit out of Valdosta, Ga., Peak quickly became one of NC State’s most reliable and consistent linemen.
Peak’s addition addresses a critical need on South Carolina’s offensive line after a challenging 2025 campaign. Head coach Shane Beamer and offensive coordinator Kendal Briles now have a battle-tested lineman capable of bolstering both pass protection and the run game immediately.
Ranked as the top offensive tackle in the On3 portal rankings, Peak drew interest from multiple Power Five programs before committing, making this signing a signature acquisition for the Gamecocks’ offseason strategy.
